For those of you more into traditional gaming than virtual pet sims, I'd like to recommend "Another Eden: The Cat Across Time and Space" as being very player-friendly for a mobile game. Unlike many mobile games, there's almost no pressure to play all the time; there are (almost) no time-limited events that expire and no PvP that rewards you for paying money for the latest thing in power creep. It was made by the creators of Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, and if that isn't enough to make you run out and download it, me singing its praises futher isn't going to help. ;)
(The one exception to the "no time limited events" rule has a duration of *five years*.)
